How long will the process take?
As with any new system it's expected that there will be some teething problems in the first few months. Below is a breakdown of the estimated time scales:
- Compiling documentation: 2-4 weeks
- Lodgment of your completed application with British High Commission: 1 week
- British High Commission results: 10-14 weeks
* NB The application process may differ in some countries; eg Tier 1 applications can be submitted by visa agents on your behalf in Australia and New Zealand. However in South Africa, applicants are required to submit the completed application in person, to their local Visa Facilitation Service (VFS)
